Do you use the SEARCH function on our website? It will make life a lot easier if you do! Here’s how …

Looking for something on the website
At the top of each webpage, there is a Search Box towards the upper right:

The way this search works is by finding articles that contain every word that you type. Typing the fewest words, will result in successful finds. We suggest a maximum of three words. Also, leave out non-topical words, like “a”, “the”, “has”, “best”, “old”, “new”, etc.

Find what you want in the Tournament List
With the hope that USTA tournaments will begin to be played soon, we see that many players are accessing the Tournament List on the NSMTA website. Over the next few days, we will be updating the list with the latest information from the USTA.

Here’s how to get the most from the list:

  1. Clicking on one of these will take you to the USTA website pages that list each of these Nationals Tournaments.

  2. A very powerful method to search for exactly the tournaments you wish to find. A few examples …

    • “CAT1" - Lists every Category I tournament

    • “M70" -  Lists every Men’s 70s tournament

    • “Grass” - Lists every Grass tournament

    • “CAT1 M70 Grass” - Lists every Category I, Men’s 70s tournament, played on grass

  3. Clicking here takes you to the USTA tournament page for more detail information and to register for the event.

Internal Drama
Tournament tennis is often a supreme test of skill and will. And the inner game often challenges us in mysterious but wonderful ways. Tupper Schoen is not a champion, but he summoned the competitiveness of a champion in a 1999 match under extenuating circumstances against a younger, stronger foe.
