The event, called the Keith Donoff Cup, was held at the Bocage Racquet Club in Baton Rouge, LA. Six Sections competed in this national event bringing together some of the top senior players in the country.

This week kicks off the 2022 intersectional team competition for the Keith Donoff Cup. There are 6 sections competing for the title which is being played at the Bocage Racquet Club in Baton Rouge LA. The six sections are Florida, Southern, Texas, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Middle States.

Getting ready for 2023..... never underestimate the benefits of planning.  Now is the time for looking forward to the 2023 Tournament Calendar and the changes surely to be made. October 1st was the deadline for Level 1,2, and 3’s tournaments to submit their applications to the USTA for review, scheduling and then for approval by the USTA Sanctioning Committee.  Slowly, the USTA is releasing the approved tournaments and building the 2023 calendar.

The USTA has posted the application information for the ITF World Team Championships. For age divisions - 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, the deadline is September 19, 2022. The other deadlines are in 2023. All the information can be found here

The National Senior Men’s Tennis Association (NSMTA) and Oxford Athletic Club (OAC) are excited to announce the second annual team doubles invitational tournament in the Pittsburgh area for senior men tennis players (ages 55+).

The Gordon Trophy is an annual tennis competition between the United States and Canada that was started in 1949. One of the goals of the Gordon Trophy is to encourage camaraderie and competition. This tradition continues to this day thanks to dedicated tennis players on both sides of the border. This website has been created to help share the experiences of our yearly competition.

This year’s Ralph Grieco Memorial doubles tournament was held July 17 to 20th at the beautiful Hound Ears Club in Boone, North Carolina. The event grew from four to six teams this year and expanded to play from three to four days. Each team fielded one court each of 65s, 70s and 75s.

While watching the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells this past week, the all too familiar scene on the tennis tour was injuries. The sport of tennis requires all-direction extreme lunging and movements. It requires incredible endurance. Injuries are inevitable in this physical sport, especially at the highest, most grueling levels. Injuries can short-circuit careers. Big names like Barty, Collins, Federer, Nishikori, Tsona, and Thiem are all recovering from injuries and unable to play.
