FROEHLING NEW YEAR’s TEAM CUP
(Part of the NSMTA Invitational Team Doubles Series)

6 TEAMS of 12 PLAYERS (plus 2 subs)
Captains must be members of the NSMTA and players are encouraged to be members as well. Each team must have at least one 74 or older player and four 69 or older players. All male players must be 65 by the end of 2021. However, “wild card” exceptions may be allowed if approved by the tournament committee.
FORMAT: Two 64 & over doubles, two 69 & over doubles (one of which should include a 74 player), one women’s doubles, and one mixed doubles (one female player per team must be the spouse /significant other of a male player or a TD invitee)
SCORING: 2 set win = 3pts, tie break win = 2pts, tie break loss = 1pt, 2 set loss = 0 pts. In addition, whenever a spouse/s.o and/or a 74 y.o. plays a full match, the team will receive an extra .25 points each.
(10 pt. Coman tie break will be used for 3rd set)
